We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team. With a strong engineering background and an interdisciplinary approach, you will support a range of research and development activities, including prototyping, product development, and product support. In this role, you will perform and direct engineering tasks for our space and homeland security projects, including system requirements definition, design, fabrication, verification, and testing.

We are looking for candidates that meet the following profile:

• • Due to security requirements, must be a Canadian or US citizen, or a permanent resident of Canada, and will be required to provide a criminal record check as a condition of employment.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Systems Engineering, with a strong academic and/or professional record.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including design, development, engineering analysis, integration, and test.
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) licence (or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to manage requirements and verification activities throughout a project’s life cycle.
  • Ability to generate clear and detailed technical documents, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports/presentations.
  • Ability to interface technically with hardware, firmware, and software team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with customers and working within a multi-disciplinary team of scientific, engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel.
  • Must be creative, self‐motivated, organized, receptive to constructive feedback, and able to learn quickly on a continuous basis.
  • Candidate must be able to travel internationally and autonomously.
