The K8 and H8 Personal Radiation Indicators are inexpensive nuclear radiation alert devices for detecting the presence of radiation and radioactive materials. These high sensitivity, high performance miniature radiation trigger devices are suitable for detecting dirty bombs and other sources of gamma, beta and X-ray radiation. The devices meet NCRP guidelines for managing terrorist events and all units are performance-tested using NIST-traceable sources. The K8 comes with a pre-set alarm level, while the H8 provides a user-adjustable alarm level.
