The K8 Personal Radiation Indicator is an inexpensive nuclear radiation alert device for detecting the presence of radiation and radioactive materials. These high sensitivity, high performance miniature radiation trigger devices are suitable for detecting dirty bombs and other sources of gamma, beta and X-ray radiation. The devices meet NCRP guidelines for managing terrorist events and all units are performance-tested using NIST-traceable sources. The K8 comes with a pre-set alarm level.
