The main purpose of these measurements is to determine, qualitatively, the integrity of a sealed source capsule for leakage. This service is certified by the CNSC under R-116. Swipes or Q-tips (one ended) are supplied by BTI as part of the testing kit. Alternately, the end user may forward their own swipes up to a maximum diameter of 5cm provided they include a completed BTI Leak Test Sampling Certificate.
